The six- or seven-seater EX90 comes in two variants – Plus and Ultra. Buyers of the 2025 Volvo EX90 can choose between two electric powertrains. The Twin Motor setup does not cost extra and comes standard with either the Plus or Ultra trim level. The Twin Motor Performance package offers more power and a longer range.

The Twin Motor makes 402 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque, while the Twin Motor Performance delivers 510 horsepower and 671 lb-ft of torque. Both electric powertrains use an 11kW battery and two permanent magnet electric motors and have bi-directional charging capability. The towing capacity is 4,850 pounds when properly equipped. The all-wheel-drive layout of the 2025 Volvo EX90 gets drive from a shift-by-wire single-speed transmission.

Both trim levels of the 2025 Volvo EX90 have a 120/240 V portable 22.9-foot charging cable. Home charging from 0-100% takes approximately 10 hours but as little as 30 minutes with a DC fast charger from 10-80%.
